With fall upon us, it’s time to think cozy when crafting cocktails for guests and at parties. That’s where Grand Marnier, with its blend of fine cognac and orange liqueur, really comes to shine as the crisp air and warm flavors take hold.

Whether you use the Grand Marnier Cordon Rouge or the Grand Marnier Cuvée Louis Alexandre as your key ingredient, both expressions offer notes of aged cognac liquor and a punch of citrus to instantly elevate your cocktail experience.

For those looking for a warm, aromatic taste, Cordon Rouge presents bitter orange aromas balanced by cognac notes of hazelnuts and toffee, resulting in a finish that is long and harmonious. On the other hand, Cuvée Louis Alexandre offers intense flavors of candied peel, bergamot essences and macerated citrus with nuances of pine and Earl Grey tea for a long, warm finish.

While margaritas are typically a summer staple, Grand Marnier recommends adding a dash of cranberry juice or apple cider to their signature cocktail, the Grand Margarita, for the ultimate fall cocktail.

Grand Cider

Ingredients:

  • 1 part of Grand Marnier Cordon Rouge (an exceptional blend of fine cognac and bitter orange liqueur)
  • 0.25 parts Lemon Juice
  • 3 parts Apple Cider
  • 1 Dash Aromatic Bitters
  • 1 bar spoon of butter
  • Garnish with a cinnamon stick

Method:

  1. Warm all the ingredients inside a kettle or a sauce pan. Serve in a 6 oz Irish coffee glass. Add a bar spoon of butter on top.

Gilded Grand

Ingredients:

  • 2 parts of CuvĂ©e Louis Alexandre (an exceptional blend of fine cognac and bitter orange liqueur)
  • .75 parts of Fresh Squeeze Grapefruit Juice
  • ½ parts Lemon Juice
  • ½ Bar spoon of Honey
  • Dash of Orange Bitters
  • Garnish: Rosemary Sprigs and Orange Flower Water Spray

Method:

  1. Add all ingredients to the cocktail shaker. Add ice. Shake and strain over a large ice cube in a rocks glass.
  2. Garnish with a rosemary sprig and a gentle spray of orange flower water.

Grand Margarita

Ingredients:

  • 0.75 parts Grand Marnier Cordon Rouge (an exceptional blend of fine cognac and bitter orange liqueur)
  • 1.5 parts EspolĂ²n Tequila Reposado
  • 0.75 parts Fresh Lime Juice
  • 0.25 parts Agave Nectar
  • Garnish: Lime Wheel
  • Salt Rim Optional

Method:

  1. Combine ingredients in a shaker tin, add ice, and shake. Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice, garnish and enjoy!
