Introducing Madam Paleta Tequila – Women Led and Operated from Day 1

Flavored spirits are very much on trend in 2023 yet most suffer from being overly sweet and artificially flavored. The just launched Madam Paleta Tequila takes a different route with no fake flavors, syrups or other sugar-based enhancements to gain flavor.

Instead, the distillers at Madam Paleta bind the flavors directly with the tequila as part of the distilling process, resulting in a smooth, delicious and natural taste.

“Our tequila is produced in Jalisco, Mexico,” said Karla Flores, General Manager, Madam Paleta. “We use 100% blue agave from the Los Altos de Jalisco area, which is then cooked in masonry ovens and fermented and then distilled in stainless steel stills. Once our blanco tequila is produced accordingly, we infuse the flavors via maceration.”

The initial run includes Pineapple, Grapefruit and Tamarind infused expressions. “We knew we wanted to produce a few different and unique flavors as part of our first production, inspired by the Paleta cart culture – our namesake,” said Karla.

“By producing multiple flavors at once, our consumers would be able to sip a range of flavors, and produce a variety of cocktails, immediately providing multiple touch points and experiences with our brand.”

The team took a data-driven approach to deciding what flavors to go with. “We used proprietary data to analyze the most common tequila-based cocktails across over 300,000 accounts in the U.S,” explained Karla. “This data provided us with current flavor consumption patterns, and where growth is trending. This then allowed us to pick flavors increasing in demand based on consumption trends.”

Madam Paleta’s striking artwork and bottles are equally intentional. Artist Anna Ruprecht’s bold, vibrant but also light-hearted work can be found on all three current bottles.

Talking about the label art, Karla said: “As a women-led and operated brand, our goal is to celebrate women worldwide. We saw the bottles as a valuable canvas to artistically extend this celebration and work with female artists to highlight this goal with our consumers. It’s also an additional way to showcase that drinking our product is an experience to be enjoyed.”

Ultimately, Madam Paleta is a high quality and smooth tequila that can be enjoyed either chilled or sipped. The team is also working on developing a range of creative cocktails to compliment the unique flavor profiles of the infused bottles. “We’ve worked with a renowned mixologist in Guadalajara, Mexico to create our cocktail menu that we’ll be sharing out in the coming weeks – stay tuned!” said Karla.

In the meantime Karla Flores recommends trying it “Diabla Style” – any of the classics or a shot with a Tajin rim. The spice with the slight sweetness of our tequila is a perfect pairing.

It can also be enjoyed as a frozen margarita with a Madam Paleta Tamarind floater shot.
