After a sell-out success last year, Powerscourt Distillery has brought back its food and whiskey pairing Christmas hampers for 2021.
The food and whiskey pairing originally started as a Distillery tour, however it proved so popular that last year the distillery team put together the hampers in time for the Christmas gifting market.
Santina Kennedy, the Distillery’s in-house Food Historian and Food & Beverage Specialist, created the hampers, consisting entirely of Irish produce. Santina holds an MA in Gastronomy and Food Studies from TU Dublin.
The Hampers priced at €100 are available from the Powerscourt Distillery website.
With meats from the Wooded Pig, local honey courtesy of Powerscourt Estate, Wicklow Ban Cheese and Fercullen Whiskey Chocolates making up just some of the goodies, the hampers deliver an authentic Irish gift. Each hamper comes with a QR code that gives the recipient a link to watch a pre-recorded presentation with Santina on how to enjoy the whiskey tasting and food pairing journey.
